satheeshProf. K.G. Satheesh Kumar has 33 years of experience spanning manufacturing industry (8 years), industrial development (10 years), consulting (7 years), and teaching and research (8 years). He has earned his Ph.D. in management of innovation. He was part of the team which created Technopark and was its CEO during 1997-2000. He coordinated the team which created Kerala's first IT policy in 1998. He has consulted for several projects within and outside India. Most recently, he was Professor and Dean of Academics at Asian School of Business, Trivandrum. He has also served on the board of several organisations and professional societies. He is an active member of IEEE and was its national secretary for two years. His interests are in technology, innovation, product development, and strategy. Currently he heads the Centre for Assistive Technology and Innovation at NISH, as its Director.

akilaDr. Akila Surendran completed her B.Tech (Industrial Biotechnology) at A.C. College of Technology, Anna University, Chennai. She was then awarded the Singapore-MIT Alliance scholarship to pursue Ph.D. (Computational and Systems Biology) at the National University of Singapore. Upon completion of her Ph.D., she joined NISH in October, 2015 as a Senior Engineer in the Centre for Assistive Technology and Innovation (CATI). She finds the NISH campus to be a place brimming with energy and enthusiasm and is glad to be a part of it.
