The National Institute of Speech & Hearing (NISH) is conducting walk-in interviews for qualified candidates for a project “Setting quality standards for registering institutions and setting functional requirements against various posts for persons with benchmark disabilities as per the RPWD Act (2016).” Those dedicated personnel with interest to travel can apply. The duration of the project is one year.

Educational qualifications alone will not suffice, as these services are for special needs populations. Commitment and a desire to make a difference in the lives of the special population will be needed to be successful.

Information and Research Officer

  • Master's Degree in Social Work/ Public Health / Psychology / Disability Studies)
  • Preference will be given to those with M.Phil or PhD qualifications in the above fields.

 

  • Minimum 3 Years of Experience as Project Lead/ Team Lead.
  • Due weightage will also be given to those with experience in disability sector projects / programmes and those with experience in handling research projects.

  • Interested candidates should attend for a walk-in interview on 21st July 2025, Monday at 10 am at National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH), NISH Road, Akkulam, Sreekariyam P O, Thiruvananthapuram. 
  • Application form along with self-attested copy of the certificates on qualification, experience to be submitted at the time of verification of certificates. Originals to be submitted for verification.
  • Test, if required will be conducted on the date of interview.
  • Soliciting recommendations and trying to influence the interview panel will be considered a disqualification.
