Dr. Vinith obtained his BOT & MOT (Mental Health) from Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai, M.Sc., (Counselling & Psychotherapy) from TN University and Ph.D. OT from MVG University, Jaipur. He holds certifications in Sensory Integration from University of Southern California and Geriatric care from Geriatric Care Society, UK. He has nearly 20 years of experience in various fields of Occupational Therapy. He has worked as Lecturer, Assistant Professor in Saveetha College of Occupational Therapy, under Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai. He was the Head of the Department in Dr Jeyasekharan Multi speciality Hospital, Nagercoil. He served as Clinical supervisor, Clinical Instructor & Clinical Mental health Coordinator in the Ministry of Health, Kuwait. He was a Course Instructor for Occupational Therapy Psychosocial (Mental health) course for 4th year students in Kuwait University. He joined NISH in Jan 2021 as Assistant Professor and became Associate Professor & Vice Principal / Head of the Department in April 2022. He has research papers published to his credit in reputed journals in the field of Occupational Therapy. His research interests include Occupational Therapy Mental health and improving “Occupational Participation and Evidence based Practice in Psychosocial function in Children, Adolescents, Adults and Geriatrics populations”. |
